Suppose to be about knitting, but sometimes it’s not.
Dumps
I am very enamored with the vegetable dumplings from our Chinese restaurant in town. How hard could it be?? Cabbage, carrots, some garlic. Easy right?
In my mind it was. I didn’t realize that the veg you are chopping up will have to fit into a small wonton wrapper. I should of had the BIG wonton wrappers, and chopped up the vegs really small. Other than that problem, they were easy and quick to steam and so good!!
I made a dipping sauce out of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger and garlic that I could drink with a straw. :)

It’s really more of a Fran, or a Cissy.
This sweater, really is a pretty cool looking sweater. I thought it would be really great to try knitting this for myself. I started in November, the perfect month for imagining a cowl neck sweater and a denim jacket.
I knit sporadically, often going weeks without opening my project bag, and in the middle of a heat wave in July, I found myself really close to the finish line. So here I am in a sweaty pony tail, in 80% humidity, not to0 keen on touching ANY kind of fuzzy wool article.
So, I cut the sleeves, and figured since I wear a scarf 100% of the time after September 1st, I cut the collar too. I think this would be more practical for me anyway.

Oh Francis.
Sweater info here , and here. I remembered I was knitting a sweater for myself and thought I’d really like to wear it on a chilly September morining. So I was knitting with wool during our heatwave thinking of denim jackets, and scarves.
